Maruti Suzuki Eeco is one of the most popular van models in the Indian passenger vehicle market. Maruti Suzuki launched the new version of the car in November last year. Since then there has been a renewed tide in demand. Various SUVs and hatchbacks have also been left behind in terms of sales. According to sources, buyers may have to wait six to eight weeks to get the keys after booking. However, the waiting period may vary by region, dealership and variant.
Speaking of performance, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco can be optioned with a 1.2-litre petrol engine. Which produces a maximum power of 80 bhp and a torque of 104.4 Nm. In February this year, the Indo-Japanese company announced the milestone of selling 10 lakh units of the van. The car first came to the market in 2010. It is currently available in 13 trims. These include – 5 and 7 seater versions, Cargo, Tour and Ambulance models.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco: Engine and Features
The Eeco is powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine that produces 80 bhp of power and 104.4 Nm of torque. The CNG model outputs 71 bhp and 96 Nm. The car can be optioned with a five-speed manual gearbox. The mileage of the petrol version is 19.71 kmpl. Whereas it is 26.78 km shorter on one kg of CNG.
In terms of features, Maruti Suzuki Eeco has new steering wheel, rotary controls for manual air conditioner, new digital instrument panel, air purifier, reclining front seat, child lock for back sliding door, reverse parking sensor, illuminated hazard switch etc.
