Maruti Electric Car: Maruti's first electric car coming next year, will run 550 km on a single charge

Maruti Suzuki's first electric car is back on Indian roads for a trial run. The car is currently being called the eVX. It will be launched in the country next year. The range can be around 550 km.

The market is flooded with electric cars. But India's largest passenger vehicle maker Maruti Suzuki is following the 'go slow policy' in this regard. They are not at all willing to show any kind of haste. It was earlier speculated that the Indo-Japanese company will launch its first battery model in the market in 2024. But according to a report, Maruti's electric car will still have to be patient for a year. The production model of the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept version, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023, will hit the market in mid-2025.

Currently the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept version is under development. It is expected that Toyota, one of the most famous car companies in the country, will add the eVX version to their portfolio. After manufacturing in this country, this electric car will be exported to foreign markets. Maruti Suzuki was recently spotted testing the model in India.

The spotted model is expected to be close to the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in terms of shape. However, the Maruti Suzuki eVX is based on an all-new electric platform. Compared to the Grand Vitara, its cabin offers more space. Based on a new electric skateboard platform, the vehicle will have four wheels at the very end. Again the battery is on the floorboard. It will provide more space inside the cabin.

It is speculated that the production version of the Maruti Suzuki eVX may be offered with a 60 kWh battery pack. On a full charge it can run about 550 km. The production model may differ slightly from the concept version. The V-shaped head lamps may be replaced with LED projector units of the same design. At the rear I can see an LED lightbar with slick tail lamps.
