Mahindra Scorpio: The country’s car market is stormed by Scorpio, Mahindra sets a great example

For many years, Mahindra has been showing its expertise in the production of SUVs. So the demand for their cars is also high. They have responded to the market by bringing popular models like Scorpio, Bolero, Thar. At the beginning of February, the company announced the news of reaching the new milestone of Scorpio-N. Mahindra has produced one lakh units of the new generation Scorpio within just two years of its launch.

Mahindra Scorpio-N’s new milestone

The waiting period of this flagship model of Mahindra is currently the longest compared to the rest. It has proved its worth over time and won the title of best-selling model. As per the current variant, the Mahindra Scorpio-N is priced at Rs 13.26-24.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Statistics say the model sells an average of over 8,000 units per month.

Again the Scorpio Classic SUV model contributed to increase the sales along with the Scorpio-N. In January, Mahindra managed to hand over the keys to more than 43,000 SUVs to new buyers. Which is 31% more than January 2023. Scorpio-N is one of the safest four-wheelers available in the Indian market. It received a 5-star rating in Global Encaps’ crash tests.

Mahindra Scorpio-N is available in 6 and 7 seater options. It is available in four trims namely – Z2, Z4, Z6 and Z8. The Scorpio features a body-on frame chassis and a 4×4 powertrain with a rear-wheel drive setup. The car can be selected with 2.0 liter turbo-petrol and 2.2 liter diesel engines.

This same powertrain is present in the XUV700 and Thar as well. The diesel engine model of the Scorpio-N is again available in two tunes. 130 bhp and 300 Nm and 172 bhp and 400 Nm. It is also available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, the higher-trim has a 6-speed torque converter automatic option. The petrol model outputs 200 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. It is also available with 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed torque converter automatic options.
