Various companies are launching higher CC models in India one after the other. Especially in the 650cc segment. After Royal Enfield, Kawasaki has entered the list. The Japanese company has announced the launch of its new generation Z650RS in India. The neo-retro bike will be available in a new Ebony/Metallic Matte Carbon Gray color scheme. The price has been kept at Rs 6,99,000 (ex-showroom).
Kawasaki Z650RS : Design
Kawasaki’s lineup in the 650cc segment is quite long and wide. Models sold in the country include – Ninja sports bike, Z Supernaked model, Versys adventure style motorcycle and Vulcan cruiser style machine. The Z650RS has been launched again to increase the craze in the retro tribe.
Kawasaki Z650RS : Powertrain
Powering the Kawasaki Z650RS is a 649 cc, parallel twin engine. The bike is based on a lightweight trellis frame. Hardware features – telescopic front fork and horizontal back link rear suspension. It will provide more control with ease of handling. Disc brakes, assist and slipper clutch are offered on both wheels along with standard ABS.
Important features on the Kawasaki Z650RS include multifunction LCD screen with dual dial instrumentation, a spherical LED headlight and spoke style cast wheels. It offers a comfortable retro style riding position. The traction control system will support two types of modes. It is estimated that it will be available for purchase from the end of this month i.e. February.
