The ideal dirt bike for carefree speed on bumpy roads. These are usually not road legal. These types of motorbikes are used for racing-track or off-road adventures. Kawasaki has announced the official launch of three such motorcycles in India – KX65, KX112 and KLX 230RS. Incidentally, the other motocross bikes the company currently has in India are the KX100, KX250, KX450, KLX 110, KLX 140G and KLX 450R. And the prices of the newly launched models have gone from Rs 3.12 lakh to Rs 5.21 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kawasaki KX65
Kawasaki KX65 comes as the company’s cheapest and smallest dirt bike. Price is pegged at Rs 3.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The weight of the bike is 60 kg. It is powered by a 66 cc, liquid cooled, two-stroke, single cylinder carbureted engine. The number of gears is six. However, the company has not revealed anything about the engine capacity. The hardware list includes 14-inch front wheel, 12-inch rear wheel, 33mm telescopic front fork, monoshock rear suspension and font and rear disc brakes.
Kawasaki KX112
Kawasaki KX112 is more powerful version than KX65. The bike is priced at Tk 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 112 cc, liquid cooled, two stroke, single cylinder engine with a 6-speed gearbox. Users will get adjustable 36 mm USD front fork, 19 inch front and 16 inch rear wheel and petal disc brakes.
Kawasaki KLX 230RS
The Kawasaki KLX 230RS is priced at Rs 5.21 lakh (ex-showroom). As the price is higher, so is the engine capacity. The bike is powered by a 233 cc, air cooled, fuel injected, four stroke engine. It has a long travel suspension as hardware. With a seat height of 925 mm from the ground, the model comes with electric start.
