Kawasaki has introduced a new type of bike in the country to run through the mountains and forests

Dirt bikes are no answer for plowing uphill and downhill. Now Kawasaki has announced the launch of their off-road motorcycle KLX 230R S in the country. But it cannot be carried on public roads. Because it is only designed to run on tracks in controlled environments. The price in India will be Rs 5.21 lakh (ex-showroom). Kawasaki KLX 230R S is so expensive because it is imported from abroad and sold in this country.

Being a ‘track only’ bike, it lacks all the necessary equipment found in normal road bikes. Such as headlights, taillights, turn indicators and rear view mirrors. The motorcycle with sleek bodywork features tall set front fenders, fork gaiters, upswept tail panel, high position exhaust canister and wire spoke wheels.

The Kawasaki KLX 230R dirt bike will ride on 21-inch diameter spoke wheels at the front and 18-inch diameter at the rear. It has tube type tires. Again, the S variant has a lower seat than the standard model of the KLX 230R for the convenience of shorter riders.

Other hardware features of the KLX 230R S include telescopic front fork, rear monoshock (two with long travel rating), petal type disc brakes on two wheels. Talking about the performance, the bike is powered by a 233 cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
