Kabira Mobility launched Kolkata to Durgapur electric bike in one charge

Apart from battery scooters, new models are also entering the electric motorcycle market in India. Bike-loving buyers are slowly getting attracted to eco-friendly models. Therefore, various companies are entering the field to meet the needs of customers. In addition, various companies are also busy bringing new versions of the current models in the market. This time, Goa’s EV two-wheeler startup Kabira Mobility launched an updated version of a pair of their e-bikes. These are – KM3000 MK2 and KM4000 MK2. The prices of the two models start from Tk 1.74 lakh and Tk 1.76 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).

Kabira KM3000

Built in a joint venture with Foxconn, this electric bike features an aluminum core hub motor powertrain. The KM3000 comes in two variants – KM3000 and KM3000-V. It is a full-faired sports bike. The former will get a range of 178 km from its 4.1 kWh battery pack. On the other hand, the KM3000-V has a 5.15 kWh battery. It is claimed to run 201 km (certified range) on a full charge.

The KM3000 has three riding modes – Eco, City and Sports. Again parking and reverse mode is present. A maximum of 16.09 bhp and 192 Nm of torque is available from both the variants of the model. It comes with a 1500W on-board charger.

Kabira KM4000 Details

Now let’s talk about KM4000 MK2. This naked style bike comes in two variants – KM4000 and KM4000-V. Both models have the same powertrain. Again, the two models are similar to KM3000 and KM3000-V respectively in terms of performance.

The top speed of the above four variants is 120 km per hour. Again, 0-60 km/h takes 4.5 seconds. The company claims that the KM3000 and KM4000 will offer a range of 130 km in Eco mode, 150 km in City mode and 80 km in Sports mode. While KM3000-V and KM4000-V will give a range of 188 km in Eco mode, 150 km in City mode and 120 km in Sports mode, the company said. Their batteries will take three to three and a half hours to fully charge.

The motorcycles are based on a diamond steel tube frame. Their body weight is 152 kg and ground clearance is 175 mm. Again the water wading capacity is 200 mm. Again, the over model gets telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Besides, there is 13 liter franc storage capacity.

Notable features on KM3000 MK2 and KM4000 MK2 include five-inch TFT cluster with Bluetooth and app connectivity, switchable lights, dark theme, projector headlamps on KM3000s, LED headlights on KM4000s, dual-channel CBS and cruise with re-generative system. Control. Interested buyers can take a test ride. The company has announced that the delivery will start from March this year.
