For the past few years, Mahindra has brought new SUV to the market. SUVs have received huge response on the first day of the booking start. Be it Scorpio N and XUV 3XO or Thar Roxx. That trend continued to be 6 and XEV 9e. Booking of two electric cars started at 9am yesterday. Mahindra claims that on the first day, two EVs got a total of 5 bookings. Their combined booking figure at an ex-showroom price is about Tk. 12 crore.
Mahindra Be 6 and XEV 9E are 5% and 5% chest respectively. The top-and-pack three trim with 5 kWh battery is reported to have been the most booked. It is to be noted that the scorpio-N booking, which was launched in 2022, received more than 1 million orders within 5 minutes. Where 3XOs got more than 3,000 bookings in 5 minutes last year.
However, all the records have been broken by the Five Door version of Thar, Tara Roxx. Last year, the car was booked at 1,220 units in 5 hours. EV Specific Inglo platform is based on Be 6 and XEV 9e. It has two battery pack options – 1 kilowatt hour and 5 kWh. Again the motor option is also two – 5 kW and 20 kW.
The 5 kW motor is associated with a 5 kWh hour battery, where the 25 kW motor has been used in 5 kW Hour battery pack. Be 6, the price of the car has started from Tk 1.5 lakh and up to Tk 20.5 lakh. On the other hand, the cost of buying XEV 9E will be Tk 20.5 lakh to Tk 1.5 lakh. Remember, these are X-Shorum Price.
