The special night edition model was launched in India today to mark the one year anniversary of the Hyundai Xter micro SUV. The price of the new Exter Night Edition starts at Rs 8.38 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the SX and SX (O) variants of the car. Hyundai has sold 93,000 units of Exeter in the last one year. The company has given cosmetic updates in this special night edition. The car is black in color with red stripes inside and out. Blacked-out elements are present on the front and rear skid plates. Red accents can be seen on the front-rear bumpers, tailgate, and front brake calipers.
The car's exclusive night emblem will catch the eye. A look inside the Hyundai Xter Night Edition reveals that the cabin is decked out in black with red accents and stitching. Besides, there are footwell lighting, black satin door handles and steering wheel, metal scuff plates.
The Special Edition is unchanged in terms of mechanical specifications. Like other variants of the Hyundai Xter SUV, it uses a 1.2-litre petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The engine produces 81 bhp and 113 Nm of torque.
