Hyundai Exter vs Tata Punch: Who is better between Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter under 6 lakhs? Compare and judge for yourself

Yesterday Hyundai launched their new car Exter in the micro SUV market in India. It is their smallest and cheapest SUV model in the country. Its main competitor is Tata Punch. Which was first launched in the market of this country in October 2021. Tata cars sell an average of 10,000-11,000 units per month. It goes without saying that Punch will face a huge challenge after Exter comes to the market this time. So who is the best of these two cars? Hyundai Exter vs Tata Punch : Engine Specifications

Both cars have a 1.2 liter petrol engine. The Exter’s 4-cylinder engine will produce 82 bhp of power and 113.8 Nm of torque. Whereas the 3-cylinder Punch produces 86 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. Both the cars are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT option. Exeter and Punch SUV mileage is 19.4 kmpl (manual)/19.2 kmpl (automatic) and 20.09 kmpl (manual)/18.8 kmpl (automatic) respectively.

Again the Exter car is offered with a CNG powertrain. Its 1.2-litre Kappa petrol unit churns out 68bhp of power and 95.2Nm of torque. It will give a mileage of 27.1 km on 1 kg of CNG. However, the CNG version of the Tata Punch is yet to hit the market.

Hyundai Exter vs Tata Punch : Features

Hyundai Exter beats Tata Punch in terms of features. The Korean crossover model offers several first-in-segment features. Like – electric sunroof, onboard navigation system, OTA updates, a dash cam with dual cameras, a wireless charging pad, rear AC vents with power outlet, and paddle shifters on automatic variants.

Android Auto and Apple Car Play are available in both cars. Exter has 92 embedded voice commands and 60 connected car features with Blue Link. The list of safety features includes six airbags, while the Tata Punch has only two airbags. Besides, there are electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill assist control etc. which are absent in Punch.

Hyundai Exter vs Tata Punch: Price

The price of Hyundai Exter has gone from Tk 5.99 lakh to Tk 10.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas Tata Punch is priced from Rs 5.96 lakh to Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom).
