Hyundai has launched a powerful vehicle to take the Indian micro SUV segment by storm. whose name is Exter. It was earlier announced that it will be launched on July 10. As such, the car entered the country’s market today. The Korean company has priced its new model in India at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). And the top model is priced at Rs 9.31 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai Exter: Variants and Designs
The Exter SUV is available in five variants – EX, S, SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The Xter is quite different from the rest of the models sold by Hyundai. The car has black mesh radiator grille flanked by projector headlights along with H-shaped LED DRLs. A touch of black on the skid plate and side panels is noticeable. The sporty alloy wheels with diamond-cut design enhance the look of the car to a great extent. There are also H-shaped LED taillights.
The SUV is based on the Grand i10 Nios platform. The front grill design is eye-catching. The car can be chosen with 6 monotone and 3 dualtone exterior color options. These are – Ranger Khaki, Atlas White, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Gray and Cosmic Blue. Also available in dual tones – Ranger Khaki with Black roof and Cosmic Blue with Black roof. The length and wheelbase of the car are 1,631 mm and 2,450 mm respectively.
Hyundai Exter : Engine and Gearbox
The Hyundai Xter comes with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder, petrol engine. It produces 82 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 113.8 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The car can also be selected with CNG option. Its 1.2-litre bi-fuel petrol with CNG engine produces a maximum of 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque. The CNG version is only available with a manual gearbox. Whereas the petrol engine model can be selected with 5-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

Hyundai Exter comes with packed features. It includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity support, digital instrument cluster, voice-controlled electric sunroof, wireless charger, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, automatic climate control, inbuilt dashcam with dual cameras, Keyless entry, and 4.2 inch digital display, etc.
