Citroen unveiled the updated version of their C3 hatchback at the launch event of the Basalt coupe SUV. Now the company has officially announced the launch of it in the market. The new Citroen C3 has been launched in India at Rs 6.16 lakh. It is Rs 30,000 more expensive than the current model. For this extra cost, the car will get more features and an automatic transmission option with a turbo petrol engine.
The most expensive C3 variant will cost Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom). But keep in mind, Citroen is yet to announce the price of the turbo petrol variant with automatic transmission. The car is now available in 1.2 liter NA petrol and 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine options. There are automatic and manual gearbox options.
The new Citroen C3 retains the exterior design but gets LED lamps instead of the old halogen units. The front fender now houses the Citroen badging where the indicator housing used to be. The Outside Rear View Mirror or ORVM is now electrically adjustable. A windshield wiper with rear washer has also been added.
Talking about the interior, the dashboard design is unchanged. But the Citroen C3 now offers a 7-inch full digital driver display, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, the car has automatic AC and the power undo switch has been relocated from the center console to the doorpad. Six airbags will ensure passenger safety.
