The SUV car market in India is growing at a significant rate. So no company is deprived of getting the love of customers. This time, a smile appeared on the face of the Japanese automobile company Hyundai Motor (Hyundai Motor). Their portfolio of cars Alcazar has touched new milestones. This was the first car to cross 75,000 unit sales. It was launched in India on June 18, 2021.
Sales of Hyundai Alcazar crossed 75,000 units
Statistics show that the Hyundai Alcazar has been the companion of 75,506 buyers so far. The three-row mid-size SUV is based on the company's best-selling model Creta. Even the two cars are almost identical in terms of features. Alcazar is offered in 6/7 seating options in the market.
The report claims that adding the export figures to the Indian sales numbers, Hyundai Alcazar sold a total of 1,02,682 units. A total of 1,03,243 units of this car were manufactured at the Sriperumbudur plant in Chennai. It brought home a total of 26,696 buyers in the Indian market in the financial year 2022-23. Compared to that, the car exported 38,394 units in the Indian market and 11,334 units abroad in the last financial year.
Incidentally, testing of the facelifted version of the Hyundai Alcazar is going on in India. The launch timing of the updated version of the car is not yet known. It is estimated that the new Alcazar can enter the market by September-October this year. The competitors in the market are Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
