The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 is going to be launched in the global market on March 19. Before that, the company released the teaser of the prototype model of the motorcycle on YouTube. Seeing that, the excitement of bike lovers peaked. The new bike will use the platform of the KTM 790 Duke. Please note that this model of KTM is no longer sold in India. Only available in international markets.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 new teaser revealed
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 has a 799 cc parallel twin liquid cooled engine for high-performance. It will produce a maximum power of 103 bhp. Mating the powertrain is a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quick shifter.
Husqvarna’s bikes are appreciated in the world for their design. The Svartpilen 801 is no different. Although the teaser shows a camouflage body, it is expected that anyone passing by on the road will turn their heads. The design is kept under complete mystery for now. It has slim fuel tank with sharp tank shroud and slim seat. Besides, there are circular LED head lamps and short fly screens. At the rear are U-shaped LED tail lamps.
The motorcycle comes with alloy wheels. That means it will offer dual-purpose tubeless tires, which are also seen on the Svartpilen 401. Both wheels have disc brakes with Anti Lock Braking System (ABS). USD front fork and rear monoshock unit are provided to handle the suspension duties. It is highly unlikely that the Svartpilen 801 will hit the Indian market. Because the KTM 790 Duke could not respond in that segment.
