Huawei MatePad T8 Launched in India With 5,100mAh Battery, MediaTek Octa-Core SoC

Huawei has finally announced the Huawei MatePad T8 tablet in India after making its global debut back in May. The affordable tablet comes with an 8-inch display and has relatively thick bezels on the edges. This makes the tablet quite easy to hold in any orientation. The MatePad T8 comes in a single RAM and storage option, and there is a choice between LTE and Wi-Fi variants.

Huawei MatePad T8 features an 8-inch LCD display with a resolution of1,280×800 pixels and has 189ppi pixel density. The Matepad T8 is powered by MediaTek MT8768 octa-core chipset, and IMG GE8320 GPU. The device is packed with a 5,100mAh battery and supports standard charging.

The Tablet boasts a single 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. For connectivity, the device includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, LTE (optional), GPS/ A-GPS, USB OTG, and a Micro-USB port for charging. In terms of dimensions, the MatePad T8 measures 199.70×121.10×8.55mm and weigh 310 grams.

The Huawei MatePad T8 Wi-Fi only variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the single 2GB / 32GB storage option, whereas the LTE variant with the same storage configuration will be priced at Rs. 10,999. It comes in a solo Deepsea Blue color option. The tablet is available for pre-order until September 14. During this period, the LTE variant of the MatePad T8 will be discounted to Rs. 9,999. Official sales of the tablet will start from September 15 via Flipkart.
