Huawei Mate 40E 5G has been announced with a Kirin 990E chipset and a 64-Megapixel triple rear camera setup in China. The Chinese tech company added a new device in its Mate 40 series portfolio which was launched back in October 2020. Huawei Mate 40E 5G runs on EMUI 11 on top of Android 10 OS out of the box and comes in Bright Black, Glaze White, and Secret Silver color options.

Huawei Mate 40E 5G features a 6.5-inches OLED Full HD+ (1080 x 2376 pixels) resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, curved edges, and a punch-hole design. Under the hood, It is powered by the Kirin 990E chipset and paired with up to 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
In terms of camera, The smartphone has a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-Megapixel (primary) camera with f/1.9 aperture + 16-megapixel (ultrawide) sensor + 8-megapixel (telephoto) sensor. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie shooter. The device packs a 4200mAh battery and supports 40W fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
In terms of connectivity, The device has a dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and USB-C. The sensor onboard includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, Ambient light sensor and in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Mate 40E 5G comes in two storage options – 8GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The 128GB storage variant costs 4,599 Yuan (around Rs.51,506) and 256GB storage option is priced at 5,099 Yuan (around Rs.57,051. The smartphone is currently up for pre-orders in China through Vmall and other Chinese retailer sites and its first sale is going to be live on March 18.
