Honor V40 all set to launch on January 18


Honor V40 is ready to make its debut on January 18 in China. The Chinese tech company all set launch its very first smartphone after the separation from its parent company “Huawei”. Honor V40 is believed to be run on Magic UI 4.0 on top of Android 10 OS out of the box.


Today, Honor announced the launch date of Honor V40 on its official Weibo channel. The company teases the front design, curved edges, and pill-shaped cutout on the top left corner for the two front-facing cameras of its upcoming smartphone.

Earlier, some reports suggested some of its key specifications. As per the previous report, Honor V40 will feature a 6.72-inches OLED Full-HD+ resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, The smartphone will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ SoC, ARM Mali-G77 MP9 GPU and may couple with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM + 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage.


Coming to the camera, It will be equipped with a quad-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel (primary) sensor, an 8-megapixel (secondary) sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, there will be 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual selfie camera setup. Honor V40 will pack a 4,000mAh battery and may support 66W fast charging technology. In terms of connectivity, The handset will include a dual sim slot, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Additionally, It is also expected that the screen could be equipped with a fingerprint reader as well.


Honor V40 is now available for pre-order through offline and online platforms such as JD.com, Tmall, Suning, and the all-new Honor Mall in China. The Chinese tech company has not confirmed its pricing and availability yet.
