Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has brought 10 years of extended warranty to its customers in India. Honda users of both new and old bikes and scooters will benefit from the new service called ‘Extended Warranty Plus’. Up to 250 cc models are covered under warranty. That means premium bikes including the Honda H’ness CB350 and CB350RS are excluded from the extended warranty.
Honda has introduced a 10-year warranty on two-wheelers in India
In case of change of ownership of a bike or scooter, the customer can get the benefit of additional warranty. Bike and scooter owners up to 150 cc have to pay Tk 1317 to get 10 years extended warranty. On the other hand, for models between 150 cc and 250 cc, this amount is Rs. 1667.
All new and old customers will be covered by the Honda Extended Warranty. In that case, if a customer has a 7-year-old two-wheeler model between 150cc and 250cc, it will be possible to get an additional 3-year warranty. Honda will offer 2 years and 1 year extended warranty for 8 years and 9 years old models respectively. From 91 days of purchase of the bike to the ninth year, all customers can enroll themselves in this additional warranty list.
Commenting on the new service, Yogesh Mathur, Sales and Marketing Director, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “Our Extended Warranty Plus program is designed to elevate the customer’s motorcycle and scooter ownership experience to new heights. Such an initiative was taken for the first time in the motorcycle market. Various expensive parts of the two-wheeler are also covered under this warranty.”
Also, apart from the warranty program, Honda will offer various coverage up to 1.20 lakh km on scooters with engines of certain capacity and up to 1.30 lakh km on bikes. Such a move by Honda is undoubtedly very pleasant for the customers. As a result, they will benefit in the after sales. Honda has taken this far-reaching step to retain the trust and confidence of the customers.
