Honda: Honda to bring electric scooters to India, don't have to wait much longer

Honda R&D India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, inaugurated a new research and development center in Bangalore. Honda's R&D center handles the company's motorcycle and power product development. And the new R&D center in Bengaluru will be used to accelerate the company's research into electric bikes and scooters.

On the other hand, Honda has opened a new assembly line to manufacture ICE model engines at its Manesar plant. These will also be mainly exported. The move is part of the company's global electrification strategy. So that by 2050, Honda can debut as a carbon neutral company in India and international markets.

Honda says its new Solutions R&D Center will work on cutting-edge technology for use in electric vehicles. They are working on various software and connected services by looking at the strategy of other companies. In this case, the company is also ready to join hands with a new partner. According to Honda, the geographical location of the new R&D center will facilitate alliances with like-minded companies. It should be noted that Bengaluru has now become the hub of EV two-wheelers. Notable two wheeler companies like Ather Energy, Ola Electric, TVS, Ultraviolette, Oben, Orxa have chosen the city as an ideal base for setting up their base in South India.
