The sedan car market is currently going downhill. So Honda is going to take steps in the place of new madness. According to sources, the Japanese company will launch their third generation Amaze this year. If everything goes well, the car can enter the market during Diwali 2024. Preparations for it have already started in earnest within the organization.
The new Honda Amaze is coming
Since 2018, the Honda Amaze hasn’t received a significant update as such. Honda currently sells the second generation model of the car in the market. The new version will be based on City and Elevate platforms. The wheelbase may be shortened to bring the car’s overall length to under four metres. The car currently available in the market has a wheelbase of 2,470 mm.
It is not possible to say anything specific about the exterior design updates of the new Honda Amaze. The cabin of the car may have a free standing touchscreen setup, which is also present on the Elevate. It may share features with other Honda models sold in India.
The new Honda Amaze will come in petrol engine only
The third generation model of Amaze will be powered by a 1.2 liter four cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It will produce a maximum power of 90 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. The car can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox option. This time the diesel engine option is going to be dropped from the car.
New Honda Amaze Launch Date & Counterparts
According to the report, the new generation Honda Amaze could be launched in the Indian market during Diwali 2024. After launch it will compete with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
