Hero MotoCorp this week launched the new version of its Xtreme 160R 4V motorcycle in India with hardware and design updates. The price of the new model starts from Rs 1.27 lakh, ex-showroom. New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V vs Old Model : Engine & Gearbox
Hero MotoCorp has updated the Xtreme 160R’s engine. The current model is able to run on E20 fuel (a mixture of 80% petrol and 20% ethanol) compliant with OBD2 regulations. It features a 163.2 cc, four-valve, single cylinder, air-oil cooled fuel injected engine. It produces 16.6 bhp of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. Whereas the old version’s 163 cc, single cylinder, air cooled, fuel injected two-valve engine produced 14.9 bhp of power and 14 Nm of torque. Both models have a 5-speed gearbox.
New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V vs Old Model: Hardware and Features
The new version of Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has also undergone changes in hardware. Now the Streetfighter model comes with USD front forks, where earlier there was a telescopic unit. It comes with disc brakes on both the wheels along with single channel ABS to handle the braking duties. There is also an all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is priced between Rs 1.27 lakh and Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas its predecessor bike was priced from Tk 1.22 lakh to Tk 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
