Hero Passion Plus: New cheap Hero Passion Plus bike launched, can run on Ethanol too

Hero Passion Plus is re-launched in India’s commuter cycle segment. Three years later the model appeared with new emission norms. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 76,301 (ex-showroom). Hero MotoCorp stopped the sale of Passion Plus after the introduction of BS6 norms in the country. There is not much difference between the old model and the new model.

Hero Passion Plus returns to India after three years

The Hero Passion Plus is powered by a 97.2 cc, single cylinder, air cooled, four stroke FI engine. Which will produce 8 bhp of power and 8.05 Nm of torque. All variants of the Splendor are powered by the same engine. It complies with OBD2 regulations, and is capable of running on E20 (a mixture of 80% petrol and 20% ethanol). The engine features i3s Start/Stop technology.

Hero Passion Plus is offered in kick and self start options. Again it will get the facility of mobile charging port with utility box. Some of the important features include digital analog meter, mobile charging port, stylish graphics, low saddle height, side stand indicator, silver rim tape etc. Both wheels have 130 mm drum brakes. Both have 80/100-18 section tubeless tires.

With the launch of Passion Plus, the number of commuter motorcycles currently in Hero’s portfolio has increased to five. These include – Splendor+, Splendor+ XTEC, HF Deluxe and HF 100. Passion Plus weighs 115 kg. Which is maximum in Hero 100cc model. It will be available in three attractive colors – Sports Red, Black Nexus Blue, and Black Heavy Grey.
