Hero MotoCorp has just launched their most expensive and powerful motorcycle in India, the Mavrick 440. Hero’s move is to increase its presence in the premium bike market. It is based on the Harley X440 Roadster. But Mavrick is comparatively much cheaper. So it has attracted the attention of many buyers. Design
In terms of design, Hero Mavrick 440 is a roadster model. Again it has a neo-retro look. The LED headlights, muscular fuel tank and sharp side panels collectively add a new dimension to the bike’s looks. The bike is available in a total of five color options – Arctic White, Fearless Red, Celestial Blue, Phantom Black and Enigma Black. Again available in three variants – Base, Mid and Top. Each trim has different features and color options. Their prices are also different.
Features
Hero Mavrick 440 features full digital console, smartphone connectivity, SMS and call alerts. Only the top variant has Bluetooth connectivity. There is a Type C charging port for charging various gadgets including phones.
the engine
Powering the Hero Mavrick 440 is a 440 cc, single cylinder, air/oil cooled engine. It will produce a maximum power of 27 bhp and 36 Nm of torque. The number of gears is six. There is also a slipper clutch.
hardware
While the X440 has a USD front fork, the Mavrick 440 is offered with a traditional telescopic front fork and monoshock suspension. 320 mm and 240 mm disc brakes are present at front and rear respectively along with 17 inch wheels. This bike will run on 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires. Again, the base model gets spoke wheels and tube tires instead of alloy wheels.

Hero Mavrick 440 is priced at INR 1,99,000 for the base model, INR 2,14,000 for the mid variant and INR 2,24,000 for the top trim (ex-showroom). The bike competes in the market with Royal Enfield Classic 350, Triumph Speed 400 and Harley-Davidson X440.
