Harley-Davidson recently launched the X440 in India, seeing the demand in the Indian medium-weight premium motorcycle market. Developed in association with Hero MotoCorp, the bike has emerged as the US company’s cheapest model. Although the response in India was expected to be as much as it was expected to be after the launch, the arrival of the Triumph Speed 400 has dampened it somewhat. However, using the global reputation of Harley-Davidson, Hero is bringing another new 440 cc motorcycle. Which could be named – Harley-Davidson Nightster 440. Because Hero recently trademarked the name in India.
Harley-Davidson brings new bike Nightster 440
Now bookings are going on for Harley-Davidson’s cheapest bike X440. Deliveries will begin from October. The latest model from motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has attracted a large number of buyers in the middle-class out-of-touch range. Which has inspired Hero to launch another new model in the market.
Reportedly, the Nightster 440 will follow the company’s bigger engine model Nightster 975. It is a street sport cruiser motorcycle. So it is expected to see a tall fuel tank with a low slung posture. It will be powered by a 440 cc, oil cooled, single cylinder engine. which is also used in the X440. The powertrain is rated at 27 bhp and 38 Nm. But it will be tuned separately for the street cruiser Nightster 440.
The Nightster 440 is claimed to sit below the X440 in the company’s portfolio. No strong argument has been found in this regard. Rather, it may be the opposite. The Nightster 440 may come as a premium version compared to the X440. This bike may be launched in the Indian market early next year.
