Hero Electric’s unprecedented initiative to bring affordable electric scooters to the middle class

All electric two-wheelers available in the Indian market have seen a price hike of up to Rs 40,000 after the Centre’s subsidy cuts under the FEM-II scheme. This new price is effective from June 1. The subsidy amount has been reduced from Tk 15,000 to Tk 10,000 per kilowatt hour. A maximum subsidy of 15 percent of the price will be given. In a situation where almost all the companies are hearing the news of increasing the prices of their various e-scooter models, Hero Electric has announced an unprecedented decision.

Hero Electric has kept the prices of its electric scooters varied

Hero Electric said in a press release that it is keeping the prices of its eco-friendly models unchanged even as the government reduces the subsidy on electric two-wheelers. That is, they are against putting additional cost pressure on the pockets of buyers. Definitely a good news for buyers in this bearish market. Hero Electric hopes to attract more customers to their electric scooters.

Incidentally, Hero Electric currently sells a total of five electric scooters in India. Both slow and high speed models are present in it. The company has two low-speed and three high-speed models. Prices start from Tk 72,142. Depending on the model, the range starts from 82 km to a maximum of 165 km.

Incidentally, Hero Electric launched Optima CX5.0 (dual battery), Optima CX2.0 (single battery) and NYX with Japanese and German technology in March. The models come with world-class Japanese motor technology, which will offer a smooth ride. It also features German ECU technology for enhanced performance.
