The Aprilia RS 457 won the country's most prestigious motorcycle award beating domestic two-wheeler companies like TVS, Hero, Royal Enfield, Bajaj. Aprilia's cheapest sports bike has bagged the title of 'Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2025'. Bajaj Freedom and Hero Xtreme 125 had to settle for second place despite giving the Italian bike a tough fight.

The Aprilia RS 457 was one of 10 motorcycles selected for the final jury round. Bikes from the modern-classic, sports, street naked and commuter segments were included in the competition. Notably, five of the ten bikes were in the 400-500 cc category. After analyzing the various aspects of each model, Aprilia was given the best honor.
A jury consisting of renowned automobile journalists of the country gave maximum points to the RS 457 judging it on cutting edge technology, engine performance and buying experience. The bike is now priced at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The 457 cc parallel twin engine produces 47 horsepower and 46 Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox is present.
The bike has 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc brakes with dual channel ABS. 17 inch wheels on both sides. Special features on Aprilia RS 457 include 5 inch TFT screen, LED illumination, ride by wire throttle, engine map, LED lighting, traction control, three riding modes, ABS, anti roll system, etc.
