GoPro Hero 9 Black has been announced with 23.6-Megapixel, 8K video Recording, and Front Display. It comes with a higher resolution sensor, larger battery, removable lens cover, and a front-facing color LCD display.

The GoPro Hero 9 Black features a new 23.6-megapixel image sensor. It is powered by the GP1 processor similar to the previous model. The camera is able to record up to 5K 30fps videos and captures 20-megapixel stills.
The Hero 9 Black packs with a larger battery compared to the older version of Hero series. The company said it could deliver up to 30 per cent extra battery backup. The camera is slightly larger and heavier than previous models, due to these additions. There’s a new front-facing colour LCD display that helps to capture the front-facing shot.
GoPro Hero 9 Black comes with some software tweaks as well. It includes HyperSmooh 3.0 that claims improved stabilisation and the ability to use Boost mode in all resolutions, including 5K. The new TimeWarp 3.0 mode enables the user to slow down their hyper-lapse videos to real-time speed with audio or half speed for a slow-motion effect. The Hero 9 Black also capable of performing horizon levelling within the camera itself if the user selects the ‘Linear+Horizon Levelling’ option.
For water protection, The GoPro Hero 9 Black is rugged and waterproof up to 10 meters. It has a dedicated microSD card slot and a USB Type-C port for charging. The company also promising the launching of the new Media Mod for the Hero 9 Black in the coming months which is believed to offer an improved microphone with a foam cover to suppress wind noise, and a weather-resistant design.

The GoPro Hero 9 Black carries a price tag of Rs. 49,500 and will be available for purchase around late October.
