India's second largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel recently joined hands with tech giant Apple. As a result, the company will allow customers on broadband and postpaid plans to enjoy Apple Music and Apple TV+. Basically Apple TV+ is an OTT content platform, with a standalone subscription fee of Rs 99 per month. But now Airtel users will get a chance to enjoy it free for 7 days. Notably, the Apple TV+ app offers access to several globally popular content such as Ted Lasso and The Morning Show, which are produced by Apple itself. Please note that to enjoy Apple Music, Indian customers will have to spend the same amount per month as Apple TV +.
Note that the Apple TV+ service will be included with broadband and postpaid plans, but Wink Music users will also be able to listen to Apple Music. ie premium users of Wink Music
Apple Music will also be available, allowing them to stream music and podcasts of the highest quality. However, these benefits will not be available immediately, users will have to wait for some more time. Because, at the moment, this matter has only been announced by the companies.
Notably, Airtel's Wink Music premium service is now available through the mobile app for just Rs 79, which is cheaper than Apple Music's Rs 99 subscription. So we have to wait to see how and at what price these benefits are delivered to the customers in the coming days.
Meanwhile, this is the first time an Indian telecom operator is offering Apple's entertainment services to its customers. So it will not be surprising if other telecom operators in India also announce such partnerships in the coming days, following this telco. In this context, Airtel said that Apple's services will be available to all customers by the end of this year.
