Volkswagen Taigun is cheaper for limited time
Before the price cut, the Volkswagen Taigun was priced between Rs 11.70 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Now the price of the entry level variant has been reduced by Rs 70,000 starting at Rs 11 lakh. The name of this model is Comfortline. It has a 1.0 liter TSI petrol engine and manual gearbox.
The mid variant of the Taigun SUV is a 1.5 liter engine present in the GT Line Chrome. It comes with a DSG gearbox. The price of this model has also come down. It was previously priced at Rs 19.44 lakh to Rs 19.74 lakh (ex-showroom). But now the price of the model starts from Rs 18.70 lakh as a result of the 1.05 lakh cheaper.
The top spec variant GT Plus Edge was priced between Rs 19.70 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. It now starts at Rs 18.90 lakh after a price reduction of Rs 1.10 lakh. However, Volkswagen did not say how long this low price offer will be valid. It is estimated that the company will continue this offer throughout the month of April.
Incidentally, the Volkswagen Taigun is available in two engine options. One is a 1.5 liter turbo petrol and the other is a 1.0 liter TSI engine. The former produces 148 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The latter has an output of 113 bhp and 178 Nm. Transmission options include 6-speed manual gearbox, 6-speed torque converter and 7-speed DSG unit.
