ZTE today partnered with SoftBank subsidiary Y!mobile to launch the Libero Flip handset in the Japanese market. This is the first vertical folding 5G phone from ZTE. It has been priced at 63,000 yen (around Rs. 34,900 in Indian prices). This sale price is for its 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The ZTE Libero Flip smartphone has a 6.9-inch (2790×1188 pixels) internal touchscreen and a 1.43-inch circular external or secondary display panel. Through the external display – various tasks can be done including using the selfie camera, step tracking, weather updates and music playback control. The phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform. This chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The ZTE Libero Flip smartphone has a dual rear camera setup. These cameras are a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens. Meanwhile, a 16-megapixel selfie shooter can be seen on the front of the device. For power backup, the new phone comes with a powerful 4,310mAh capacity battery, which supports 33W QC4+/PD3.0 fast charging. This battery can be fully charged in 73 minutes. Moreover, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face recognition feature for security. Other connectivity options include – Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and FeliCa-compatible NFC.

The ZTE Libero Flip foldable smartphone comes in a total of three attractive color options, namely – Gold, White and Blue. The phone measures 76 mm in width and offers a sleek body. It is 7.3 mm when unfolded and 15.5 mm when folded and weighs 214 grams. This phone is IP42 rated so it is dust and water resistant. Note that the ZTE Libero Flip foldable phone can be folded up to 60-110 degrees. Due to which users can take pictures by keeping the device on the table.
