Qualcomm’s next flagship processor is likely to be launched as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It is already known that several brands are preparing to launch new phones with this chipset. Recent reports have claimed that the Realme GT Neo 6 could be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. And now the news is coming that the iQOO Z9 Turbo phone is also going to have the same Snapdragon processor.
iQOO Z9 Turbo Specifications (Probable)
The tipster claimed in a post on digital chat station Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site) that the iCoa Z9 Turbo flagship could come with a Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor. But in the latest post, he did not say anything about the phone. However, earlier DCS had shared some specifications of an upcoming iCo phone powered by Snapdragon 8S Gen 3. Initially, it was speculated to be the iCoa Neo 9 series phone, but now it is believed that the company will be launched as the Z9 series phone.
The phone may feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel, which will support 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. For security, it will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to run Android 14 based on OriginOS 4 custom skin.
The top-end variant of the iQOO Z9 Turbo is expected to feature 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Battery capacity is not yet known, but it is expected to come with 120W fast charging support. The Z9 Turbo is likely to have a plastic frame and will likely come with a 50-megapixel dual-camera system.
There are also speculations that the iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9x will launch in China in April. While the Indian version of the Z9 has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, the Chinese variant is likely to get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Meanwhile, the iQOO Z9x is expected to use Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
