Xiaomi is currently said to be working on its first clamshell foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi MIX Flip. GSMChina has already created a render that gives a small glimpse of what the phone is going to look like. And now a new report has leaked the camera specifications of Xiaomi MIX Flip. Not only that, the screen resolution of the device has also been revealed.
Specifications of Xiaomi MIX Flip (Expected)
Since last year, there have been speculations about the arrival of Xiaomi’s flip phone. The Chinese brand is said to have started manufacturing their new foldable model last October. As per MI code, whose model number is “2405CPX3DG / 2405CPX3DC”. The numbers “2405” at the beginning indicate a launch around May, 2024. So Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to be released between May and June.
As reported by Android Headlines, the Xiaomi Mix Flip will feature a dual camera setup on the rear panel. Among these, the primary camera will house a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 sensor, which has also been used earlier on the Redmi K70 Pro. Besides, the main camera will be accompanied by a 60-megapixel Omnivision OV60A lens with 2X optical zoom. Users will be able to use rear cameras as front cameras. Because there will be a cover screen just below the camera.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip is codenamed “ruyi” and has been spotted in Mi code. A screenshot confirmed the presence of a small secondary screen on the back of the device. The MIX Flip’s screen resolution is also known from information obtained by Android Headlines. The upcoming Xiaomi phone is expected to offer 1.5K resolution. Xiaomi 14 Pro and Redmi K70 Pro have 2K resolution. Therefore, the Screen Density value is set to “560”. But Xiaomi MIX Flip’s screen density value seems to be set at “520”, which is lower than 560. This is the proof that the display resolution of the foldable will be less than 2K and it may come with 1.5K screen resolution.
