Xiaomi has started rolling out a new software update for Poco F5 and Redmi K50i in India. However, the official changelog for this update only mentions the June, 2023 security patch. But even though the latest update includes only updated security patches, its size and version number are different for both devices.

The file size of security update for Poco F5 and Redmi K50i is 255 MB and 491 MB respectively. Also, the update build number for the Poco phone is V14.0.4.0.TMRINXM and the build number for the Redmi handset is V14.0.3.0.TLOINXM. Please note that this update is currently live for users participating in the Mi Pilots program. However, it is expected to be available to all users in the next few days.

Users can check if their Poco F5 or Redmi K50i handset has already received the over-the-air (OTA) system update by going to Settings. Notably, Xiaomi recently announced that the number of monthly active users of the MIUI software skin has exceeded 600 million. It took the company almost a year and a half to reach this number from 500 million.
