Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max flagship smartphones a few weeks ago. Now the company is working on the most premium smartphone of this series Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Like the other three models in the series, it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for performance. Also, a new report claims that the upcoming phone will have a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes with new LOFIC camera technology
Tipster Digital Chat Station, in a recent Weibo post, said that the company is putting special emphasis on the camera performance of the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra phone. This will see a significant upgrade in the device’s imaging hardware. It is expected to have a large primary camera sensor with f/1.6 aperture. It is also known that the handset will support the next generation LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology.
The tipster also claims that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s rear camera setup is being designed to enhance image sharpness. It will have a sensor with an aperture of around f/4.5, which will allow for great low-light photography. Besides, Xiaomi 17 Ultra camera system will get 200 megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
Other Features of Xiaomi 17 Ultra
An earlier report said that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra handset will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto lens and a 200-megapixel Samsung HPE Periscope telephoto sensor with 4×4 RMSC technology. On the front, the 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50M sensor will be used for selfies and video calls.
In addition, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra phone will be available with a 6.9-inch 2K OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader and upgraded vibration motor.
Again, Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s recent 3C certification confirmed that it will support 100W fast charging.
