Xiaomi 14 Ultra may be launched on this date, will change the definition of smartphone camera!

Just yesterday (February 6) Xiaomi confirmed that they will launch the Xiaomi 14 series in the global market on February 25. Let us know that Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro flagship smartphones were launched in China last October. Since the company used the word “series” in the teaser released for the global market, it is believed that the brand might launch both the phones on that date. However, a new report says that the Pro model will not make it to the global market. Instead of this model, the company may launch the more premium Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone in the global market on the said date.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra may be launched in the global market this month

The circular camera module shown in the teaser shared by Xiaomi yesterday does not match the design of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro available in China, pointing to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is said to come with a circular camera module. According to a report by GSMChina, the page available on the company’s website showing the countdown for the Xiaomi 14 series has “N1N3” mentioned in its URL, which is actually the internal model number of the upcoming handsets. Note that the internal model codes of Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra are ‘N1’, ‘N2’ and ‘N3’ respectively.

Since, only N1 and N3 are mentioned in the URL, it seems that only Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra will debut simultaneously on February 25. That is, Xiaomi 14 Pro may not come to the global market. Incidentally, the Pro phone is the ‘bigger’ version of the Xiaomi 14, offering a larger display and larger battery. Rest of the specifications are almost identical on both the phones. Hence, it is believed that instead of bringing the Pro variant to the global market, the company has decided to launch the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model instead.

It is already known that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a top-notch quad-camera system with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera. It will be powered by the same Qualcomm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset as the other two models in the series. More information about the phone is expected to be released in the coming days.
