Xiaomi has organized a big launch event in China tomorrow, where the brand will unveil the much-awaited flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro tablet. The upcoming 14 Ultra model is going to come with major upgrades compared to last year’s Xiaomi 13 Ultra. And now Xiaomi has shared some new updates on social media, confirming that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will offer better durability and battery than its predecessor. Let’s see what new information was known about the phone a day before the launch.
Sharing a post from their official Weibo (Chinese microblogging website) account, Xiaomi confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will come with a 5,300mAh capacity battery, which will result in a 17 percent increase in battery life compared to its predecessor. Battery capacity has been increased but the volume has been reduced by 8 percent. With the latest silicon carbon anode technology, Xiaomi’s battery achieves a maximum silicon content of 6 percent.
However, the company is yet to confirm the fast charging speed of Xiaomi 14 Ultra. However, recent reports claim that the device will support 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Talking about durability, Xiaomi claims that the mid-frame of the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be twice as resistant to bending than before, while the handset’s screen will offer ten times more resistance against fall injuries. And the rear panel of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, made of Kona leather, is six times more resistant to tearing than the 13 Ultra model. Xiaomi has confirmed that the device has received SGS five-star durability certification.
Also, the official images indicate that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will have a leather-back in Black and White color variants. On the other hand, the back panel of the possible Blue variant is rumored to be made of ceramic. It is speculated that the high-end version of the device will come in a special titanium frame option.
