Last year in December, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor were launched. So it is assumed that the Xiaomi 14 series flagship smartphones will debut by the end of this year, just like the current generation. Adding to the speculation, now the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have appeared in the IMEI database along with their model numbers. As usual the model number of both the phones revealed their launch date.
Xiaomi 14 series appears in IMEI database
GSMChina reported that two new devices with model numbers 23127PN0CC / 23127PN0CG and 23116PN5BC / 23116PN5BG have appeared in the IMEI database. They are claimed to be Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro respectively. Model numbers ending with “C” are Chinese variants and numbers ending with “G” are global versions. And the model numbers 2312 and 2311 indicate that the Xiaomi 14 series could be officially launched in China in November or December. And Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will enter the global market after a few months.
Again, it is heard that the Xiaomi 14 series will also come with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model. Since nothing is known about the device yet, it seems likely that it will launch in China in the second quarter of 2024. The Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro and 14 Ultra are likely to feature the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which could debut in November this year.
Notably, a recent report claimed that the Xiaomi 14 Pro model could come in flat and curved-edge screen variants. The phone is expected to have three 50-megapixel cameras on the back, with the primary lens likely to be a 1-inch Sony IMX. Its camera setup is also expected to feature a periscope zoom sensor. The front camera of Xiaomi 14 Pro can support 4K (4K) video recording. The two variants of this phone can support 5,000mAh battery and 90W and 120W fast charging respectively.
