With fast charging and longer battery life, the Apple iPhone 16 series will feature electric vehicle battery technology

Just two months to go, then the much awaited Apple iPhone 15 series will be launched. And as the launch time approaches, new information is coming forward. However, in addition to this series, the features of the iPhone 16 series, which is going to debut in the year 2024, are also going to be leaked. Tipster RGcloudS on microblogging site Twitter claimed in a tweet that tech giant Apple could bring its 16th iPhone lineup with more advanced stacked battery technology. Note that this technology was introduced specifically for electric vehicles.

Apple iPhone 16 series may launch with support for stacked battery technology

Tipster RGcloudS had earlier claimed that Apple might use stacked battery technology in its latest iPhone 15 series to be launched this year. He also said that the discussed series will support 40W wired and 20W MagSafe (MagSafe) wireless charging. As usual Apple fans were quite happy when this news came out. Because it is no secret that poor battery backup and slow charging issues have plagued iPhone users for years.

But after some time, this joy of Apple lovers becomes a kind of soil. Why not recently the tipster was seen editing his post. Where he corrects the wrong information given that Apple will offer stacked battery technology with the iPhone 16 lineup and not in their iPhone 15 series. The tipster claims that he is 100% sure that the mentioned technologies will be announced next year with the iPhone 16 series.

If this news is indeed true, the Apple iPhone 16 series of devices will face less heat-discharge issues while charging. At the same time the overall battery life will also improve.

Note that in regular winding batteries the positive and negative electrode strips are intermixed. In contrast, stacked battery designs have the positive and negative electrode strips folded in a zigzag pattern. And because of such a special pattern, the electrode strips can be located in a stacked battery taking up much less space. Due to which it is possible to use more material to provide more power capacity. If you look at the picture below, it will be more clear to you.

Also, stacked batteries last longer. Another significant advantage of an over all stacked battery is that it charges and discharges at a high rate. As a result, if the discussed technology is made available in the iPhone 16 series next year, the devices will surely benefit from the fast charging feature.
