Vivo unveiled the standard Vivo Y200 5G smartphone in October last year. Back in February this year, the brand launched the Vivo Y200e 5G in India under the Y200 series. And now it is heard that another Y200-series phone named Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is going to debut in the market soon. As it has received approval from BIS of India, which indicates an imminent launch of the handset in the country.
Vivo Y200 Pro 5G gets BIS clearance
A new Vivo phone with model number V2401 has been approved by Bureau of Indian Standards Authority. The same phone was earlier spotted on the platform with the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G branding on the Google Play-supported device list and Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) certification.
Notably, apart from V2401, the V2303 model number is also associated with the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G. Last month, the Y200 Pro 5G was spotted on the Google Play Console database. An image and specifications of the device have been released. Notably, the V2303 model number originally belonged to the Vivo V29e, which debuted in September last year.
Hence, it is believed that the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G might be based on the Vivo V29e. Notably, this phone comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED curved-edge screen, which offers FullHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It has an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security. For performance, the Vivo V29e uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. It is also available in 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. For power backup, the Vivo V29e features a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
Also for photography, the Vivo Y29e features a dual-camera system on the back with a 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. And for selfies, the phone houses a 50-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus support. Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is expected to hit the market by the end of this month or in May.
