The first phone in the Redmi Turbo series will have 16GB of RAM, with big surprise specifications too

Xiaomi recently confirmed the arrival of the Redmi Turbo 3 in China, marking the launch of the company’s new Redmi Turbo smartphone series. Ahead of the official launch, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 3 has now been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, which has revealed some of its specifications as well as its performance.

Redmi Turbo 3 appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform

Redmi Turbo 3 phone with model number 24069RA21C has appeared on Geekbench (version 6.2.2) database. The phone scored 1,981 points in the single-core test and 5,526 points in the multi-core test. Looking at the core architecture of the processor there, it is assumed to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3. It is said that this Redmi phone will get 16 GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 operating system.

Xiaomi has said that the Redmi Turbo 3 phone will be positioned as a mid-range device in its new performance-focused lineup. Earlier, the smartphones that came with the Turbo branding were part of the Redmi Note series, the latest model of which is the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. However, the company is now revamping its lineup to create a distinct series of Turbo-branded phones. The Note series, on the other hand, is said to focus on delivering mid-range phones with an aim to popularize the flagship features among a wider audience.

Notably, the Redmi Turbo 3 appeared on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) platform last month and it is reported that it will support 90W charging speed. As for other specifications, the Redmi Turbo 3 is likely to have a 5,000 mAh battery and a 1.5K OLED display. The Redmi Turbo 3 is expected to debut in China by the end of August. The phone may be launched as Poco F6 in the global market.
