Vivo is currently gearing up to launch several new Y-series smartphones in different parts of the world. One of which is Vivo Y18e. The phone was recently spotted in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) database, which confirmed Bluetooth 5.0 version support. The Vivo Y18e has now received BIS clearance in India, meaning the phone has been given the green signal for launch in India.
Vivo Y18e got BIS certification
The Vivo Y18E phone is listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards’ site with the model number V2350. Apart from the model number, no other information about the phone has come out. But it certainly gave the phone the go-ahead to arrive in the Indian market. However, nothing is known about the Y18E’s specifications yet. But as its launch date gets closer, more information is expected to be revealed. The device is rumored to make its debut in the country alongside the standard Vivo Y18, which was also spotted on the Bluetooth SIG listing.
Let it be known that the predecessor Vivo Y17S model was launched in Singapore and India as an affordable smartphone in October last year. The device features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,612 pixels, 60 Hz refresh rate and an impressive 840 nits brightness. With a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel bokeh lens and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, the Y17S offers a decent photography experience.
Also, the Vivo Y17s is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, coupled with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. For power backup, there is a powerful 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and it runs on Android 13 based FunTouch OS 13 custom skin. If the Vivo Y18 series follows the footsteps of the Y17s, it will make its debut in the budget segment.
