Vivo V40 smartphone series is launched today i.e. 17th June. Vivo held a launch event in Madrid to unveil two models under the series. These are – Vivo V40 5G and Vivo V40 Lite 5G. Currently both the handsets are available only in the Spanish market. Speaking of specifications, the Vivo V40 5G is the first V-series phone to feature a camera unit with ZEISS optics. Again, the Vivo V40 Lite model has a curved AMOLED touchscreen, triple rear camera unit with Aura Lite flash, powerful battery with 44W flash charge charging support. Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Lite Smartphone Price
The Vivo V40 5G phone is priced at 599 Euros (roughly Rs. 53,600 in India). It will be available from the first week of next July – in Stellar Silver and Nebula Purple colors.
The Vivo V40 Lite 5G phone is priced at 399 Euros (about Rs. 35,700) and is already available in the Spanish market. This phone comes in Dreamy White and Classy Brown colors.
It is expected that two phones of the Vivo V40 series will be launched in India very soon. However, no specific launch date has been announced yet.
Vivo V40 Lite 5G Specifications
The Vivo V40 Lite 5G phone features a 6.78-inch Full HD Plus (2400×1080 pixels) curved AMOLED touchscreen, which supports 388 ppi pixel density, 1300 nits HBM brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and Adrenaline 710 GPU. This phone will get 8 GB and 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage. Additionally, this device also supports 8 GB extended RAM feature. Its storage capacity can be expanded through microSD card (hybrid slot). Android 14 based Funtouch OS 14 custom skin is pre-loaded as operating system.
For photography and videography, this smartphone from the Vivo brand offers a triple rear camera unit with Aura Light flash. The cameras are – 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture + 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture + 2-megapixel macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture. On the front of the device is a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Connectivity options include dual SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and USB 2.0 ports. For power backup, the Vivo V40 Lite 5G phone has a 5,500mAh capacity battery, which supports 44W FlashCharge charging technology. It will get an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
