Vivo is set to unveil the much-awaited Vivo S19 smartphone series and the Vivo Watch GT smartwatch in its home market China tomorrow (May 30). The Vivo S series devices have been buzzing in tech circles for the past few months. The brand has also released various promotional teasers ahead of the launch. And just a day ago today, the brand shared some posters revealing the battery-related information of the upcoming Vivo S19 lineup. Let's take a look at them.
Vivo S19 Series Battery Details
The Chinese brand said that the Vivo S19 series devices are designed to be slim and light-weight smartphones with impressive battery life. It will include a massive 6,000 mAh battery. But even without increasing the size, it is heard that the upcoming Vivo phone will be 7.19 mm thin. This battery technology offers a power density of 809Wh/L, which will offer higher battery performance with the same measurements.
The Vivo S19 series supports up to 145 hours of continuous music playback and can operate in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. It is supposed to provide reliable performance and long battery life in various conditions. According to recent reports, the Vivo S19 phone will have a 6,000 mAh battery, while the Vivo S19 Pro phone will get a slightly smaller 5,500 mAh battery. For power backup, both devices are expected to support 80W wireless charging.
According to recent reports, both the Vivo S19 series phones will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support, offering 1.5K resolution. The standard Vivo S19 model is said to have a flat display, while the Pro variant will come with a curved-edge screen. The Vivo S19 and Vivo S19 Pro phones are said to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and MediaTek Dimension 9200 Plus chipsets respectively.
Also, the Vivo S19 series is rumored to feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 front-facing camera with autofocus support. And on the back of the regular model will be a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel Samsung GNJ primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary lens. On the other hand, the Pro model will come with a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto sensor with 2x zoom.
Also, in terms of software, the Vivo S19 and Vivo S19 Pro models will run on Android 14-based OriginOS 4 custom skin. Both the phones are expected to be available in RAM and storage variants like 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB.
