As promised, Vivo S17 smartphone series has been launched in China today i.e. 31st May. A total of three models have debuted under this new lineup, namely – Vivo S17, Vivo S17t and Vivo S17 Pro. In which we have already informed you about the features and prices of the regular model of the series i.e. Vivo S17 and higher Vivo S17t phones. So in this report we will discuss about the top-end Vivo S17 Pro smartphone. It is the most premium among the three handsets in the series and comes with the best specifications. This 5G phone has – curved AMOLED display panel, MediaTek Dimension 8200 processor, latest Android 13 based custom skin, triple rear camera unit with dual-tone LED flashlight and 4,600 mAh battery. First let’s talk about the design. While the Vivo S17 Pro smartphone may look similar to its predecessor, the Vivo S16 Pro, the new model’s design is slightly different. As such, the third sensor on the camera module on its back panel is relatively small and the device does not offer a color-changing panel either. Instead Vivo has launched their latest handset with a new Blue color option. Besides, the 3D body with curved glass on the front and back of the phone is noteworthy. It is only 7.46 mm thick and weighs around 188 grams.
The Vivo S17 Pro smartphone features a 6.78-inch (2800×1260 pixels) curved AMOLED display. The display design is punch-hole (centered) style and supports – 452 ppi pixel density, 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color panel, 800000:1 contrast ratio, 1300 nits peak brightness level and 2160 Hz PWM pixels. The device comes with MediaTek Dimension 8200 processor to provide enhanced performance. It will get up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 13 based on OriginOS 3.0 custom skin.
In terms of the camera department, this new smartphone from Vivo branding has a triple rear camera setup. These cameras are – OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V primary sensor, 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens and 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 2x telephoto shooter. This rear camera-trio is paired with the regular dual-tone LED flashlight and soft light. Meanwhile, on the front of the device, there is a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 selfie sensor. This front camera supports autofocus mode and two LED flashlights are present on either side of the sensor.
Connectivity options of the phone include – Dual SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC, and USB 2.0 (Type-C port). Again for security it will get an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Besides, in terms of power backup, the new Vivo S17 Pro smartphone comes with a 4,600 mAh capacity battery supported by 80 W fast charging technology.

Vivo S17 Pro comes in three storage variants. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at 3,099 Yuan (about Rs. 36,100). And the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at 3,299 Yuan (approx. Rs. 38,500). Besides, the price of 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage variant has been kept at 3,499 Yuan (about 40,800 Taka).
This handset comes in three color options namely – Mountain Sea Green, Ice White Jade and Black. Its sale will start from June 8.
