Vivo is planning to launch its V-series next-generation smartphones in the market soon. The lineup is said to include three models – Vivo V29, V29e and V29 Pro. But ahead of the official announcement now, the Vivo V29 Pro model has been spotted on one of India’s certification platforms, BIS, which hints at the phone’s launch very soon. Let’s find out what the site has revealed about the Vivo V29 Pro.
Vivo V29 Pro gets BIS approval
The upcoming V29 series high-end Vivo V29 Pro phone has been listed in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database with model number V2251. But as usual, this listing didn’t reveal any important information like the specifications or price of the device other than the model number. However, this indicates that the Vivo V29 Pro will soon enter the country.
Vivo V29 Pro Specifications (Probable)
Based on the information that has surfaced through various sources so far, it can be said that the Vivo V29 Pro will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimension 8200 processor. The phone also recently appeared on benchmarking site GeekBench, whose listing revealed that it will offer up to 12GB of RAM. Also, the benchmarking platform revealed that the handset will run on Android 13 operating system, with Funtouch OS 13.1 custom skin layered on top.
Note that today, alongside the standard Vivo V29, the design of the Vivo V29 Pro has also been officially revealed. The smartphone is said to have a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the rear panel and a 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Meanwhile, the front will feature a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which will offer FullHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It may come with 80W fast charging support. Recent reports suggest that the V29 Pro phone will likely be launched as a rebranded version of the Vivo S17 Pro. However, this has not been officially confirmed, so only time will tell how true this is.
