Vivo brings the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 foldable phone, the features will turn your head

In October last year, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro foldable smartphone with model number V2337A was spotted in the IMEI database. Again it appeared on the China MIIT certification platform with the same model code earlier this month. And now, the foldable has been approved by China’s 3C (CCC) authority, indicating that it will be officially launched next month i.e. March. Let’s find out what comes out of this certification about the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro gets 3C certification

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro with model number V2337A has been listed on China Compulsory Certification Platform. The listing reveals that it might come with a 120W fast charger. It is also mentioned that it will offer 5G connectivity. Apart from the 3C certification, no other information is known about the specifications of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

On the other hand, the well-known tipster in his new Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post on digital chat station claimed that Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will offer 50W wireless charging in addition to 120W wired charging. It may also include a 5,700 mAh battery. The tipster has also revealed important information about the rear camera module of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. He claims that it will house a 50-megapixel OV50TH primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto camera.

Notably, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro model will be slimmer and lighter than the Vivo X Fold 2. Incidentally, the predecessor is 12.9 millimeters slim when folded and weighs 279 grams. It is said that it could debut as the world’s first foldable phone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. And the standard Vivo X Fold 3 is believed to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Being the standard model, it is expected to be missing features like ultra-sonic fingerprint scanner, wireless charging and periscope telephoto camera.

Besides, the Pro and non-Pro models of the Vivo X Fold 3 series may have the same sized primary and cover displays. The Pro variant is rumored to have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner embedded in both displays. A recent report mentions that the Vivo X Fold 3 series may support Mac integration.
