Update to Android 18 even on cheap phones! Samsung’s masterstroke to take on Chinese brands

Samsung Galaxy F14 5G was launched in India in March last year. The company is preparing to bring the Galaxy F15 5G to the market as the successor of the smartphone in exactly one year. Now the South Korean brand has also started releasing teasers for the launch of the new Galaxy F-series model. The new teaser has gone live on online retail platform, Flipkart with the message “Coming Soon”. Let’s find out what information has emerged from this teaser.

The official teaser of Samsung Galaxy F15 5G has arrived

Several details about the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G have already leaked online and it has also been spotted on various benchmark and certification sites. Now, Samsung India has officially confirmed that the device will be launched in the country soon.

The teaser released on Flipkart confirmed the presence of a triple camera setup on the phone, which is seen on most Samsung devices. However, apart from this the teaser did not reveal any more details. However, tipster Mukul Sharma recently shared some live images of the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, which revealed that the phone could come in three color options, including black, pink and a gradient finish.

Also, it is reported that the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G will have a large 6,000 mAh battery. But most notably, the phone will receive four major OS updates, a first in its price segment. It is rumored that the Galaxy F15 5G will be priced under Rs 15,000 in India. According to the Geekbench listing, this phone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset and 4GB of RAM. Galaxy F15 5G will run on Android 14 operating system. It may offer similar specifications to the Galaxy A15 5G that was launched in December last year.

Note that the existing Samsung Galaxy A15 5G has a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. For photography, it houses a triple camera setup with a 13-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage. It also offers a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
