Triple foldable, Huawei Mate XT 2 foldable phone comes with powerful Kirin processor

Huawei launched the Mate XT Ultimate Design as the world's first tri-fold phone in September last year. The screen of this phone can be folded three times. Now a tipster has hinted that the brand has started working on its successor. The upcoming device may be named Huawei Mate XT 2. The tipster also gave a glimpse of the processor used in this next-generation tri-fold phone. Notably, the Huawei Mate XT came with the Ultimate Design, Octa-Core Kirin 9010 chipset and a 5600mAh battery.

The Huawei Mate XT 2 phone may have this processor

Tipster Fixed Focus Digital has leaked various information about the Huawei Mate XT 2, the successor to the Mate XT Ultimate Design, on Chinese social media site Weibo. According to the tipster, the next-generation tri-fold smartphone will run on the latest Kirin 9020 processor. It will also use a new camera sensor.

The chipset used in the Mate XT Ultimate design will be upgraded to Huawei's Kirin 9020 chipset. The new chipset comes as the successor to the Kirin 9010 and currently in the Huawei Mate 70 series.

Current Tri-Fold Phone Price

Huawei launched the Mate XT Ultimate Design in September last year, with a starting price of 19,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 2,35,900). This price is for 16 GB RAM and 256 GB inbuilt storage. It has not yet launched outside of China

Specifications and features of Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design runs on HarmonyOS 4.2 custom skin and has a 10.2-inch LTPO OLED primary screen. Once the screen is folded, it becomes a 7.9-inch display, when folded a second time, it becomes a 6.4-inch screen.

The Kirin 9010 chipset is used in this phone for performance. For photography, it has a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5.5x optical zoom and OIS. The display also houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It is powered by a 5600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
