The Xiaomi 15 series is likely to debut in the market as the first smartphone with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship processor. This flagship smartphone lineup is expected to be launched in the Chinese market within a few days of the release of Qualcomm's next-generation processor later this year. And now a reliable tipster has shared some information about the camera system of the higher-end Xiaomi 15 Pro model. Let's take a look at them.
The camera specification of Xiaomi 15 Pro phone has come forward
The current generation Xiaomi 14 series has a flash module inside the camera island, but the digital chat station claims that this may not be the case with the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Pro flagship. According to the tipster, the flash module will be placed outside the camera island. The upcoming flagship is expected to include bigger sensors than before.
Note that the camera system of the Xiaomi 14 Pro phone has three 50-megapixel cameras, which are – Omnivision Light Hunter 900 primary camera (1/1.31 inch), a Samsung JN1 (1/2.76 inch) 75mm telephoto lens, which Focuses on objects as close as 10cm and a 14mm ultra-wide angle sensor. The tipster says that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will not use the Samsung JN1 sensor. It will likely be replaced by a slightly larger sensor. However, the shape and positioning of the camera module is said to remain the same. However, with larger sensors, the camera island may be slightly more outwardly raised than previous models.
Also, according to an early prototype of the Xiaomi 15 Pro model, the telephoto camera on this phone may use periscope technology like the Ultra flagship, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone. The Xiaomi 15 Pro model is also rumored to have a 2K resolution micro-curved screen, similar to the Xiaomi 14 Pro phone.
Note that the previous Xiaomi 14 Pro model used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It has a slightly curved 2K panel of 6.73 inches, which offers 3000 nits peak brightness. For power backup, the Xiaomi 14 Pro model has a 4,880mAh battery with 120W charging support and 50W wireless charging support. The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to launch soon after Qualcomm's new processor hits the market. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is likely to be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit in October this year.
