Thinner than a pencil! Oppo is launching the world's thinnest foldable phone next month

OPPO Find N3 will hit the market in 2023. And interestingly the same year the OnePlus Open was released globally as a rebranded version of the device. Now the upgraded models of the phones are about to hit the market. Oppo has revealed the launch timeline for the upcoming Find N5 (not N4 because the number 4 is considered unlucky in China). When will Oppo Find N5 and OnePlus Open 2 be launched?

OnePlus founder and Oppo chief product officer Pete Lau said in a post on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that the Oppo Find N5 will be released in February. It will be the world's thinnest foldable flagship. Again this device may be rebranded and launched as OnePlus Open 2 between March and June.

As the teaser poster hints, the phone is thinner than a pencil. A typical wooden pencil is 7-8mm thick. So, the Oppo Find N5 or OnePlus Open 2 can be around 4mm thick when open. And can be 10 mm thick when folded. That means it's going to be the slimmest foldable ever. It is also rumored to be made of titanium metal. Honor Magic V3 is currently the world's thinnest foldable phone.
